For the past few months as I’ve seen friends they often ask how the book is doing, and how things are going now that the book has launched. Though this is my first effort, things seem to be going really well, and I’m so grateful!
When I set out to share this book I wanted to be able to connect with others - other artists, nonprofit friends, entrepreneurs - anyone struggling as they take the next steps to do their thing. Anyone feeling alone in that process. Since the launch, I’ve heard back from friends and even a few strangers that the book has encouraged them to take the next step on their idea. If I had set a specific bar for success - that would be a big one!
I’ve also gotten some positive press:
The Red Wing Republican Eagle did an author feature in connection with a talk I gave at the Red Wing Public Library: https://www.republican-eagle.com/entertainment/books/4528569-minnesota-author-visits-red-wing-talk-creative-placemaking
The Northeaster featured the opening event, which drew a great crowd (page 11): https://www.mynortheaster.com/wp-content/news-archives/181031Northeaster/?fbclid=IwAR1ij1o-DfhbIvA9uEs0IAHdcDCIyQvHojTUWYHhgX1O8CRJTHvXtDs08oo#page=1
And last but most certainly not least, Athena Currier (designer and illustrator) selected it as her favorite project for the year. ::tears:: http://themarjorie.com/2018/12/04/its-never-going-to-work/
As we prep for the holidays, a great idea for a unique gift is an author-signed book! Do you know anybody creative that could use an inspiring read to help get over that hurdle?
Order a copy of It’s Never Going To Work and use the code: SNOW for $10 pricing on books. And like a pumpkin, this offer expires at midnight on Friday December 14, 2018, so orders must be placed this week to guarantee shipping in time for Christmas. For information about personalizations you can message me directly at purenoumena@gmail.com.
A big, heartfelt thanks to every one of my friends, family, and colleagues that have helped this year through your encouragement and support. Looking forward to a great end to 2018 and a bright, shiny 2019.
::Hugs::
